Overall Dress/Appearance:
The Demeanor
Overall Personality: Carson was raised by her mother to not really care what people think of her and just be herself and be happy with herself. She's a loud mouth and very outspoken...except when around strangers. When she isn't around new people she hasn't met before, she always speaks her mind and likes to have people listen to her. When around new people, she is quiet and only speaks when spoken to. She is almost a different person when strangers is around. Most cannot believe it is the same Carson Davis but it is.
Carson loves photography. She picked up a camera at age nine and has hardly ever put one down. She is losing her love for photography because she feels like she's selling out and losing the art form. She feels like she only does it to pay the rent, which she hardly has enough for. Carson has a loving for singing and music. She's had it even since she was little. When Roger started getting into music, she decided to see what it was that interested him so much. She found she really liked singing. She would pursue it as a career but she's afraid she's not good enough and would make anything from it.
What is your character's deepest secret? She had a boyfriend who beat her up, making her afraid to let another guy into her life.
What is your character's strongest desire? To be able to do what she loves and not be afraid to do it.
The Past
Family:
Richard Davis - father - doesn't speak to him much.
Anna Davis - mother - writes to her when ever something exciting happens, which is every so often. She worries about her "little girl" being alone in the big city, which isn't true. Carson has to repeating remind her that her brother isn't far away from where she lives.
Roger Davis - older brother - looks up to him and loves him to death. She knows he's always there for her and she doesn't know what she'd do without him.
Previous and Current Romantic Relationships:
James Pierpont - ex-boyfriend - broke up with him and he beat her up.
History: It was the hottest day of June, June 27th, seven years after the Davis family welcomed their son, Roger, into the world and Anna Davis went into labor. Not too long after, Anna gave birth to a daughter, Carson Laurel Davis. She grew up being close to her older brother, Roger. She would fall asleep to his guitar playing when she was little, as long as it wasn't too loud. Her childhood was peaceful and would have been boring if not for Roger being around.
Anna and Richard always thought up ways for Carson to be included in what ever Roger had planned. Despite the seven year age difference, Roger didn't seem to mind his little sister too much. She always had fun being around her brother and she always seemed to be glad she was with him, her brother and one of her best friends. She though her life was going to stay like that forever. Before she knew it, Roger announced to the family he was moving to New York City.
That was a major blow for Carson. Her brother and best friend was leaving. She watched Roger leave, after giving him a big hug goodbye and telling him she would miss him. She didn't cry then as she watched their mother cry. After Roger and his best friend, Mark Cohen, had left, Carson went up to her room and then she cried.
Roger wrote to Carson when ever he had time, even sending her a flier for the Well Hungarians' first performance, after explaining in a letter that the Well Hungarians was his band. She would write him about what was happening in her life, school, how she now related to how he felt about Scarsdale. He was the first person Carson told that she was starting to like photography and singing. Even though the brother and sister were far apart, she felt like he did support and cared about her.
Carson had grown up into a pretty young girl and at age sixteen, she met James Pierpont, a boy in her Sophomore class at Scarsdale high. He seemed like the perfect boy to her, starter on the football game, honor role student, but James had a temper. She put up with his temper for a year and finally decided that she couldn't deal with him anymore. She decided to break up with him. She wrote him a note and slid it in his locker, not wanting to face him.
James called Carson after school and asked her to come over to talk. Carson thought nothing of it and went over his house. He let her in, like nothing had happened, and as soon as he led her into his basement, he started to beat her up. As he beat her up, he called her a "pregnant dog" and said things like "Who are you to break up with me?!" By time he was done, Carson was pretty banged up. It was an unfair fight, a football player against a short girl.
Carson got herself home by time her parents came home (Richard from work and Anna from grocery shopping). They took her to the emergency room and she ended up walking out of there with splints on her pointer and ring fingers on her left hand and her thumb and middle finger on her right and bruised covering her arms and some on her face (including a black eye). Anna couldn't bare to see her daughter like that and she and Richard pulled Carson out of Scarsdale high. She was home schooled after that, so James couldn't get her, and ended up graduating a year early (she didn't take a break in the summer, she just kept working and she didn't want to do school work for another full year). After she finished school, Carson moved to New York City, to get away from James and to try to start living her life. She now lives on Avenue B and is trying to get her photography seen, while wishing she could live her dreams and be a singer.
Let Us Begin...
RP Sample: ((this popped into my head. it kind of takes place before James beat her up))
Carson Davis sighed as she closed her locker. How was she going tell James that she wanted to break up with him? He always seemed to take his anger out on her and she, for the most part, could take that but she couldn't anymore. She was always afraid that one day he would go too far. Carson didn't think she could really defend herself well against him, He was a starter on the football team and all.
Carson sighed as she walked out of the locker room and made her way to her next class, which was a study. Thankfully, she didn't have that study with James. She walked into the classroom and went to her seat in the back. She was, as was normal in studies, to do her homework but that day she thought. How can I break up with him...in a way so we have the cleanest break and it won't crush either of us...? This was the question that plagued Carson. She then got an idea and pulled out a piece of notebook paper. She pulled her hot pink pen out of her purse and started to write the note that would change her life, hopefully for the better. "James, ..."
((if anything's not up to standard, Colleen, please tell me ))
