So the Peacock costume seemed like a really good idea at first. Angel had been looking for something that, you know, was both colourful and flashy, without being... flashy. She had no issue with being loud and busy but...she wanted to be busy without showing her business. Hah. And for the first part it was a great idea. Over two months of hard work had paid off, with all eyes being on her. Of course...she kind of also suspected that there wasn't too much else they could look. Apparently the shoulder wings had been a little much. She'd wanted to keep them up, to draw attention... But then she knocked over the punchbowl, and she realized how dumb an idea that was. Her feathers were down now. They had to be so she could even kneel to scrub the liquid up. "Well," she sighed to whoever she was listening. "I'm pretty sure Collins spiked it anyway. I saved the day...?"

Hearing the commotion off to the side, Mimi couldn't help but chuckle a tiny bit as she spotted Angel, her laughter dying when she noticed what had happened. "Aw, honey," she said, heading over to help her mop up the punch. "I'm sorry babe. Your feathers make it?" Grabbing whatever napkins and paper towels she could find, they mopped up the most of the mess, then she set the bowl back up on the table. "Don't worry about it, though. I can always run back to my place and grab some soda or something real quick. We won't go thirsty. Your costume kicks ass, by the way."

"It does, doesn't it?" Angel had no reason to fake modesty. It was damn good. "You could cast a spell on me anytime," she added to the sexy witch in front of her, giggling. That would be the day. What would Collins do, she wondered...? Well it wouldn't happen, so no need to worry. Unfortunately.
Did she drink the punch before or after Collins spiked it? "Nice turn out," she commented. She hadn't expected to see so many people.

"It really does, chica," Mimi replied with a laugh. "How long did you work on that? I think my fingers would have fallen off trying to get it put together." She laughed at the spell comment, winking at her friend. "I'd say something back, but I'm not exactly sure how to flirt with a peacock," she said, laughing throughout her comment. Glancing back over her shoulder, she nodded in agreement with Angel. "Yeah, it really is. I'm surprised. And I heard Maureen forced Mark into a costume, so that'll be interesting. Collins here?"

"Only...two and a half months." Her, love Halloween? Oh no. She shook the tail feathers a bit, laughing. "I dunno...is there a Peacock mating call?" she laughed, thinking about it. Oh dear. Next year she was being a human again. "Marky in a costume? This I have to see. Collins came up with me...who knows where he's gotten to now." Contrary to popular belief, they really weren't attatched at the hip. It wouldn't shock her if he was off somewhere with Roger and the boys, on the other side of the party. The real question was, how drunk was he?

"Only two and a half months? Geez, girl, get with it! You're slacking from last year," Mimi teased. "You know, I think I remember something about a mating call from school, but hell if I know what it was," she repsonded with a laugh. God, they were nuts. But the good kind. Not like the creepy, asylum-worthy kind. "That's what Joanne told me. And from the way she talked, it's gonna be something good. And he'll make himself known later. Probably when he, Mark, and Roger hit the Stoli as opposed to the punch," she added with a quick roll of the eyes. Really, their boys were anything but dull.

"Hopefully nobody will hit the punch as hard as I did," she glared at the bowl. Dumb, cheap plastic. How dare it get in the way of her feathers. She fluffed them with a huff, sighing. "I love the costumes," she commented.

Mimi couldn't help but giggle a little at Angel's reply, shaking her head. "Honey, I don't think anybody's gonna hit it as hard as you did. Besides, I'm gonna move the bowl to an out of the way spot so no one else runs into it." She did just that as Angel fluffed her feathers, making sure it wasn't in an area where someone would bump into it, but also a spot where it was easily accessible. "Yeah, everybody went all out. I'm impressed. Rog even dressed up! 'Course, that might've been 'cause I threatened him a bit, but who's paying attention to details?"
