The Dream
Name: Angel Dumott Schunard
Age 23
Occupation: Street Mucisian
Sexuality: Gay
HIV/AIDS Status: +
The Visage
Avatar Claim: Wilson Jermaine Heredia
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Dark brown
Height: 5'11" in heels
Weight: 140
Facial Features:Her features are extremely feminine, so it's no surprise that she makes an excellent woman in full drag. Her eyes are large and dark, framed by thick lashes and sculpted brows. Her nose and lips don't really stand out in proportion to her face
Anything Else? Angel is Hispanic, her skin tone sitting right in the middle, not too dark but not too pale.
Overall Dress/Appearance: She has dark brown curls that have been cropped close to her head. When Angel's in drag, she covers them with a wig, her favourite being a medium length black number. She has a flat stomach and is very slim, with long fit legs. Her 'boy' wardrobe isn't too exciting; darker colours with jeans and sneakers. Some of the jeans do have sparkles, though, it's not drag but it is flamboyent. However she's created a large collection of women's clothing. The majority of the items she's made herself from materials you wouldn't suspect, the colours bright and eye-catching.
The Demeanor
Overall Personality: Angel used to be extremely shy and reserved. However, ever since she started getting into drag, her whole demeanor has lightened and she's received a giant boost of confidence. She's extremely loving and would give a stranger the shirt off her back.
A fond believer in love at first sight, Angel believes that there's one perfect person out there for everyone. She can be a touch over dramatic at times and has a habit of jumping too quickly to conclusions, but she means well and really is undeniably sweet. However, if someone she cares about is in trouble, she won't hesitate to put a stop to it.
What is your character's deepest secret? As much as she preaches to others, deep down she fears the thought of dying. What she fears most though, is her being the last to go.
What is your character's strongest desire? To live her life to the fullest for the rest of the time she's got, with Collins and her friends. Possibly start a family.
The Past
Family: Angel was born on June 3rd, 1967. Her father was Dominican and her mother of French and Dominican descent. Her mother was a dancer, and not a large part of her children's lives. Angel's father stayed home and played mom. He was an older man and set in his ways. He'd been raised on the Bible and it's teachings and therefore believed that one was better to live a 'normal' life. It was alright for him to stay at home with the kids because he had children and a wife. When she revealed herself to her father, she was no longer welcome in her own home.
Previous and Current Romantic Relationships: Thomas B. Collins. There have been other flings that came and went, but he's the only one that matters.

Angel didn't like girls. She knew it from a young age and for a long time she didn't think there was anything wrong about it. She liked them as friends and she liked what they were wearing, but she never had any romantic feelings for them. In the sixth grade she developed a crush on Liam Anders in the front row. She let it slip and was from then on there referred to as the queer, which morphed into the f*g in the later grades. At first he didn't understand what they were saying, having been more or less sheltered all his life. His father told him exactly what it meant, and that Angel wasn't one, couldn't be one. But she didn't understand. She couldn't help it...how could she just 'not' be one?
Things changed one seemingly regular day in the fall of 1981. The rest of Angel's family went out to mass while she was 'sick'. She had gone to the washroom to wash her face quickly before starting her homework like promised. But there, on the counter near the sink, was his sister's lip gloss. Needless to say, the afternoon changed Angel's life.
She kept the drag a secret for awhile. However, she got too confident. One night while she was dressing she awoke her older sister. Anna was, naturally, shocked, but agreed to keep it a secret and even allowed Angel to use her closet to keep her growing collection of women's clothes.
After a little time, Angel found herself getting more and more confident. With a little convincing from her (very few) friends who knew about it, she made a decision. She showed her father the drag...and was no longer welcome in her own home. She ended up on the street with no direction and even less money. She began doing what she could for money, some things innocent, some she wasn't proud of at all. After a few months, Angel got a job in a drag show. Despite the fact she didn't consider herself a drag queen, it paid enough to fund a small apartment.
A year later she found herself back in unemployment. She had AIDS. Didn't know where she got it, but she had it and there was no changing it. The little money she'd saved up paid for her AZT. She was able to stay in her apartment but she was over her head in debt. Her one sanctuary was Life Support, where she could sit and listen to people going through what she was, so they could give each other support.
Then she met Tom Collins. And all that changed. She thoughts of him went from infatuation to love in a matter of hours. As quick as it was, she was certain. He felt the same and she let him into her home, her life, and comitted herself to him.
Let Us Begin...
RP Sample:Angel yawned into her wrist. She'd planned on going down to the Life, but she was too tired to make herself presentable enough to leave the apartment. d**n vanity. When really clothes were the reason she was tired. Making them, when she stayed up past two insisting she'd only glue on one more individual glitter thing to her new skirt. Just one. And then taking them off. Well...
Course, when she was finally coherent to make any, she was out of instant (the best thing since sliced bread). And she'd stopped buying the grinds since she discovered instant, anyway.
So there she was, knocking on Mark and Roger's door, wearing an old teal skirt she'd worn the life out of (she really should have done a wash too. She was either getting old or getting dumb. She didn't know which was worse. Maybe Collins' forgetfullness was getting to her). It wasn't like she'd seen them in awhile anyway, so really it was like hitting two birds with one stone.
She checked the time on her crappy cereal box watch before putting her arm back by her side. Nearly twelve. Well, she never claimed to be an early riser...
